GPO Member Rebate Program
In an effort to broaden participation in GASCO’s GPO, the GPO, with input from GASCO has developed a rebate program for participating practices.
GASCO GPO is currently under contract with Oncology Supply and McKesson who pay the GPO administrative fees based on purchases by GPO members. The current fee is 15 basis points or .0015 of the total purchases by members. This is paid quarterly to the GPO. The GPO in turn has been donating its proceeds to GASCO to supplement its income to operate the state society.
The new program will share the administrative fees between GASCO and the participating practices. More specifically, practices will receive 45% of the net income of the GPO each quarter. The fees will be distributed among the participating practices proportional to their individual purchases relative to the total purchases. Each quarter will be reconciled to year to date data.
Practices may also opt to have the total amount of their GPO administrative fee remain with GASCO.
