GASCO GA CORE Membership
Benefits and requirements to achieve the different GASCO levels are outlined here. (view in pdf)
ACADEMIC MEMBERS
To qualify for a Level I Membership
- Attend the Annual Meeting at least every two years,
or - Participate as an officer, committee member, or Board Member in GASCO or GA CORE
AND
- Attend at least 1 GASCO sponsored educational meeting per year,
or - Accrue at least one patient per year in a GaCORE clinical trial, or
- Other evidence of contribution to the society as approved by academic members of the Board (including presentation at a GASCO sponsored event or tumor board participation)
Benefits
- No Dues
- No registration fee for GASCO meetings
- No registration fees for Best of ASCO Sectional meetings in Georgia
- Membership with GA CORE
- Physician's name advertised on GASCO website and GA CORE website and directory.
Regular GASCO Membership is available without any participation requirements. Dures are $275 per year.
COMMUNITY MEMBERS - MEDICAL ONCOLOGY / HEMATOLOGY
To qualify for a Level 1 Membership
- All Physicians, Mid Level Providers, Administrators and Navigators must be members of GASCO
- Practice must participate in a GA Core Research Trial
- Practice must participate with GASCO GPO
Benefits
- No membership dues for any practice participant
- No registration fee for GASCO meetings for physicians or staff
- No registration fees to Best of ASCO Sectional meetings in Georgia
- Membership with GA CORE
- Practice and Physician's name advertised on GASCO website and GA CORE website and directory
To qualify for a Level II Membership
- All Physicians, Mid Level Providers, Administrators and Navigators must be members of GASCO
- Practice participates with GASCO GPO
Benefits
- No membership dues for any practice participant
- No fees for Best of ASCO Sectional meetings in Georgia
To qualify for a Level III Membership
- Attend annual meeting at least 2 years, or
- Become an officer, committee member, or board member of either GASCO or GA CORE
AND
- Accrue at least patient/year in a GA CORE clinical trial, or
- Attend at least 1 educational meeting per year, or
- Other evidence of contribution to the society (as judged by GASCO community board member, including presentation at a GASCO sponsored event)

Basic GASCO Membership
- GASCO Membership Only
- All dues apply for physicians ($275), administrator/manager ($50), affiliates ($25), navigators (currently $0)
GASCO ONCOLOGY PRACTICE OF THE YEAR
This is awarded to one practice each year. They must qualify as for "LEVEL 1 MEMBERSHIP" plus have good meeting attendance and other contributions as judged by GASCO's Executive Committee based on the following criteria:
- Participation in leadership of GASCO, GPO and GA CORE Boards and committees or as representatives of GASCO to oncology policy and regulatory bodies
- Accrual to Georgia Core Clinical Trials
- Attendance at educational offerings of GASCO/GA CORE by physicians and staff
- Other contributions to research, qualify of care, survivorship, or leadership by members of the practice
